More than 20 years of quantity surveying across South Africa, Botswana and the United Kingdom. I now focus on data centre cost planning and on parametric estimating that gets reliable numbers in front of decision-makers early.
I started my quantity surveying career in South Africa, where I practised for ten years, before spending eight years in Botswana. Since January 2023 I have worked in the UK, currently on major rail infrastructure with G&T, a partner-led cost, project and infrastructure management consultancy.
Along the way I have worked across most sectors: commercial, residential, public and industrial buildings, civils and infrastructure. That breadth gives me a feel for what drives cost and where budgets usually go wrong.
My focus now is data centres, where speed to market, power density and MEP-heavy scope make early, defensible cost advice especially valuable.
My own project: fast, indicative order-of-cost estimates from a few key parameters, so you can test options before the design is fixed.
Perspective on what drives data centre budgets, with costs viewed per MW and per m² for shell, MEP, power and cooling.
For cost planning, commercial management, project management and infrastructure advice, I can introduce you to the team at G&T.

I'm building a parametric estimating tool that turns a handful of project parameters into a credible early cost estimate in minutes.
About the data. The tool is built only on publicly available cost data and published benchmarks. It does not use any employer or client data. Estimates are indicative and for early-stage decisions only. They are not a substitute for a detailed cost plan prepared for your project.
Be first to try it, and help shape what it does. Send a short email and I'll add you to the list.
